Introducción y Desarrollo.

Los servicios de inteligencia de los grandes países suelen acertar muchas veces en sus opiniones y pronósticos.

Los trabajos concretos de inteligencia a los que se dedican unos pocos agentes modernos, suelen terminar con un éxito parcial o total.

Los trabajos complejos con ramificaciones y desarrollos, que esconden un futuro estimable, pero, no seguro, fallan estrepitosamente. Por esta particularidad compleja y futurible. Y, porque la capacidad de observar y medir un parámetro del alma humana es algo inaprensible, dudoso e incómodo. Seguidamente veremos varios casos concretos.

Las razones para que se produzca la divergencia de aciertos entre los casos singulares y la proyección al futuro (solución prevista) de los asuntos complejos, trascendentes al tiempo, están en parte en la dificultad de su concepción, el riesgo que se corre en aventurar y en la exposición no contrastada a los mandos. Evidentemente, existe aquí una dialéctica entre el ocultamiento realizado y el proceso cognitivo e intuitivo de su imaginación, desarrollo y proyección (solución estimada).

Sólo analistas liberados de la Escolástica y de los manuales de campo son capaces de situarse en el estado o la posición mental libre, imparcial y lúcida. Para captar situaciones enemigas anómalas, complejas y difíciles. Como se les paga por resultados y rapidez, que son variables contradictorias, el lujo de poner en “posición quietud” a un agente analista por un tiempo imprevisible, indefinido, no suele ser aceptable.

No hay que despreciar las nuevas técnicas de detección, observación y seguimiento de objetivos. Basadas en ordenadores, sensores electrónicos, Inteligencia Artificial. Pero, la presencia de agentes de campo no debe ser suprimida, sino apoyada y recrecida. Un seguimiento cibernético puede concretar para nuestro espía el área precisa de investigación y estudio.

EXPOSICIÓN DE UN AGENTE DE CAMPO

El agente de campo es un infiltrado en un medio neutro u hostil. Capaz de acercarse y penetrar en los medios gubernamentales o empresariales o sociales del rival. Y captar información relevante, importante, de manera consistente y mantenida. El agente de campo da marchamo, sello, de verosimilitud o, incluso, de realidad a la información captada del enemigo.

No es fácil captar, formar e insertar a un agente de campo propio. De ahí que, en una época de prisas, superficialidad y complejidad intelectual se haya favorecido a los medios tecnológicos frente a los agentes de campo para las labores de espionaje.

Afganistán 2021.

Todos recordamos los momentos de cambio de gobierno en Afganistán en agosto de 2021.

Los EEUU habían gastado durante casi 20 años de permanencia allí ingentes sumas de dinero en dicha permanencia, apoyos surtidos al Estado afgano y a escoger, entrenar y equipar al Ejército Nacional Afgano. Incluso, los estadounidenses presumían en sus comunicaciones públicas, especialmente del Defense Department, que aquél hacía progresos en la lucha antiterrorista contra los talibanes.

LOS MARINES CUSTODIAN EL AEROPUERTO DE KABUL

Esto resultó ser como las “aldeas Potemkin”. Que el ministro ruso de ese nombre preparó en el camino que seguiría la Zarina Catalina la Grande en un viaje. Para que sus habitantes de pacotilla se mostraran felices y lustrosos al paso de su Majestad Imperial.

En cuanto se tocó retirada para las últimas tropas estadounidenses, los soldados afganos, que resultaron también de pacotilla, comenzaron a rendir armas y a escapar de la temida ira del Talibán. Las fuerzas estadounidenses sólo fueron capaces de asegurar un perímetro defensivo del aeropuerto de Kabul. Pero, hasta allí tenían que llegar los “afganos amigos” y sus familias para embarcarse en un vuelo. Huyendo del maremoto de la barbarie de los talibanes (estudiosos del Corán).

Como se había negociado con el Talibán que aceptase el control del aeropuerto por los soldados occidentales unos pocos días, ello no fue suficiente para muchos “colaboradores” de los occidentales (traductores, chóferes, guías, limpiadores, etc) y sus familias. Muchos tuvieron que hacer un penoso viaje hasta Pakistán para ganar su libertad y su vida.

Guerra de Vietnam. Etapa estadounidense.

Los EEUU, durante la guerra del Vietnam establecieron el programa “Igloo White” dotado con 1700 millones de dólares de los de entonces, entre 1966 y 1971, para las tareas de recolección de información de la ruta de abastecimiento norvietnamita y del Vietcong en Vietnam del Sur. La ruta partía de Vietnam del Norte, internándose en Laos, cerca de la frontera común, y era la línea de toda clase de abastecimientos para las fuerzas citadas, operando en Vietnam del Sur. La ruta fue sembrada de artefactos que simulaban una planta y que eran transmisores de información para la inteligencia estadounidense. Medían 1,2 ms. y su batería les duraba 50 días. Muchas veces era empleado un objeto volador no tripulado, un dron, que recogía la información emitida del suelo y la retransmitía por televisión a un avión nodriza lejano.

Con los datos recogidos del tránsito (tráfico es mercadeo) en las vías, los norteamericanos decidían las acciones de bombardeo de interdicción, a cargo de sus distintos ingenios aéreos, incluyendo los invisibles, inaudibles y precisos bombarderos estratégicos B-52. A primeros de 1971, los datos de las fotos aéreas tras los bombardeos, tomadas desde aviones que volaban después de las formaciones de ataque, permitían suponer a los analistas que la “guerra de camiones” estaba causando un muy severo esfuerzo a la capacidad industrial de los suministradores de Vietnam del Norte (China y la URSS).

Pero, si era cierto que se destruían tantos camiones y equipos, ¿cómo era posible que los comunistas mantuvieron la iniciativa en Vietnam el Sur? Por otro lado, ¿dónde estaban las decenas de miles de restos de camiones y demás materiales que literalmente debían plagar muchas de las vías y parques logísticos de la Ruta Ho Chi Minh?, ¿quiénes se molestaban en quitarlos?

Otro asunto sonrojante fue que el total de vehículos contados por la aviación estadounidense como destruidos, superaba varias veces el total de vehículos de transporte de carga conque contaba Vietnam del Norte.

La respuesta a esta incógnita esencial la dieron pronto los jóvenes oficiales estadounidenses: los camiones los comía un monstruo llamado el “Great Laotian Truck Eater”; un horrendo carroñero que se levantaba hacia el amanecer y devoraba los vehículos destruidos por la aviación durante la noche, después de las fotografías de rigor para el “wreck count”, el recuento de desechos logrados. Porque los estadounidenses son muy escrupulosos con las estadísticas y consideran a la mentira un pecado social casi imperdonable para los funcionarios.

Introduction and Development.

The intelligence services of large countries are often correct in their opinions and forecasts.

The specific intelligence tasks to which a few modern agents are dedicated usually end with partial or total success.

Complex works with ramifications and developments, which hide an estimable but not certain future, fail miserably. Because of this complex and future peculiarity. And, because the ability to observe and measure a parameter of the human soul is something elusive, doubtful and uncomfortable. Next we will see several specific cases.

We all remember the moments of the change of government in Afghanistan in August 2021.

In early 1971, data from aerial photos after the bombings, taken from planes flying after the attack formations, allowed analysts to assume that the “truck war” was causing a very severe strain on the industrial capacity of North Vietnamese suppliers (China and the USSR).

But, if it was true that so many trucks and equipment were destroyed, how was it possible that the communists maintained the initiative in South Vietnam? On the other hand, where were the tens of thousands of remains of trucks and other materials that literally plagued many of the roads and logistics parks on the Ho Chi Minh Route? Who bothered to remove them?

Another embarrassing issue was that the total number of vehicles counted by the US aviation as destroyed, exceeded several times the total number of cargo transport vehicles that North Vietnam had, according to Intelligency.

The answer to this essential mystery was soon given by the young American officers (juniors): they were eaten by a monster called the “Great Laotian Truck Eater”; a horrendous scavenger that rose towards dawn and devoured the vehicles destroyed by aviation during the night, after the required photographs for the “wreck count”, the count of debris achieved. Because Americans are very scrupulous with statistics and consider lying a «social sin» that is almost unforgivable for officials.

FIRST HALF VIII CENTURY TO BEGINNING XII CENTURY

The salafist Ideology.

Salafism, from «salaf«, predecessor or ancestor, is the other ideological school of the Islam. As salaf, the Muslims call Mohammed and his disciples: the first four caliphs and the next two generations. The expansion of the Islam in the 7th century assumes to the purity of his faith. Since this brought them the Allah’s favor and support.

Since then, whenever the Moslem societies are sufering an economic, political or social crisis, prominent figures will arise that will praise a return to the Islam of the Salaf. Ibn Hanbal, in the 9th century, gives a literal interpretation of the Islam, based in recovering the ancestors and in the condemnation to the ideological innovations. Ibn Taymiyya resorted equally to her in the 14th century, when the Middle East was suffering the Mongolians invasions. These would be the initiators of this current or school.

The salafist currents are renaissance movements of the Islam, through the return to the original faith, that of the «pious predecessors«. They reject everything that identify as «human interpretations after the revelation of the Prophet«. They are radical reformists movements, which condemn the practices of the «popular Islam« (accused of being superstitions) and great part of the ideological Moslem thought, considered as carrier of «innovations». That is to say, «creations of the human reason«, that move away from the divine message. The salafists reject in turn the influence of the Western civilization, particularly the democracy, the relativism and the laity, that «corrupt the Moslem faith«.

The salafists become emancipated of the tradition founded by the 3 sunnis canonical schools. And they invent another Islam, which they affirm is founded on the Coran and the Sunna. Also they seek to imitate Mohammed in all the acts of the daily life, included the way of eating or dressing.

The wahhabism or the salafism at the political Power.

The modern salafists begin with the preaching of the Arabic ulema Mohamed Ibn Abdul Wahhab (1703-1792). Finally, in 1902, the emir Abdul Aziz ibn Saud reconquered Riyadh. In 1924 occupied Mecca and Medina and in 1932, all the Saudi Arabia. This was giving them the control on the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to the Muslim Sacred Places and the opportunity to preach the wahhabism to the pilgrims from all the countries. The «Jihadist salafism» or Qutbism.

This current of the school makes the Jihad one of his activity centers. The jihadism seek to accelerate the liberation of the Moslem countries of any foreign occupation. It is based on Sayyid Qutb’s ideas, a theoretic and revolutionary born within the Moslem Brothers. He was sure that the Western Society was sick with individualism and ungodliness. And the Moslem countries would suffer the same thing, if they were influenced by West. And affirmed that the actual Moslem regimes were apostates, on having applied lay laws, instead of the Sharia.

Qutb‘s thought was one of the principal influences in the sects Muslims’ Society or Excommunnication (takfir) and Hegira (migration), arisen in 1969 in the bosom of the Moslem Brothers in Egypt, and in al-Qaeda, and his leaders, Ayman al-Zawahiri and Osama Ben Laden. Sayyid Qutb, was detained, judged and executed at August 29, 1966, for planning the murder of the president Nasser. After his death, the Muslims Brothers evolved towards organization and fight forms inside the existing political system.

The actual salafist jihadism is born in the 80s, during the Afghanistan’s war against the Soviet occupation. The salafists jihadists arrived from Saudi Arabia met the Moslem Brothers. And, finally, since it could not be less, this ideological crystallization, moved also to the Moslem arts and sciences, that started a long declining.

This way, this second Transformation of the Islam remained largely frustrated and faded. By the new outcrop of the «minor Yihad», which constituted the first Transformation of the Islam. And that turned out to be completed and profitable with the incredible extension of the Islam in the known world in something more that one century. This reappearance of the first Transformation of the Islam, which was the use of the force for the extension and the implantation of a monotheistic religion, would turn into a complex, multiple, repetitive and violent action throughout the following centuries. General Introduction.

After a belligerent and expansive beginning, the Islam had established inside long and distant borders. That included extensive territories, placed in three known continents, in his parts more out-standing active and fundamental.

It was already time to realize a reflection and an internal doctrinal debate. That was interpreting and adapting towards the future, the whole Islamic revelation. That then was contained in the Koran, the hadises of the Prophet (his verifiable facts and sayings) and the behavior of the salaf or predecessors of the Islam, the primitive and pious Muslims. It is the work of ideological organization of the Islam and the believers’ community. And it shapes a second Transformation in the Islam.

There arise soon the Islamic schools, the cores of ideological work and his social projection. That vertebran around groups of believers and experts, who were living in the principal environments of dar al-Islam. These schools commenced and elaborated in a beginning the criteria and ideas that his neighbouring thinkers were mantaining. In an epoch of difficult communications. They were representing and assembling the expressions and the experiences of the Muslims of diverse origins and races. To that were added the contributions of Moslem eminent travelers, who traveled the ideological centers of the Islam from al-Andalus up to Baghdad.

All this was rethought, consulted, debated and decided by the members of the school, his collaborators and some out-standing thinkers of the country or the region. This way, they were creating different teaching corps by his different origins, to illuminate and direct the ideology and the actions of the Umma. And to project, with major or minor intention and result, towards the future, always changeablly and unknown, an ideological instrument that guarantees and allows an adaptative and rigorous evolution of the Islam.

In this mental and spiritual emergence, happened only one century after the death of Mohammed, concentrating all their human energies, the Muslims also devoted themselves to translate to the Arab all the knowledge of the epoch (VIIth and VIIIth century). This way, they founded libraries and submitted to the study of the universal knowledge and to apprehend it (from “aprehendere”, to grasp). Raising this way his humanities and sciences to a position of total preponderance, which they would preserve for 350 years, up to the 12th century.

A fundamental reason of this cultural bloom of the Islam was his multinational, global character. Already we saw that, once established the incorporations of countries and regions to dar al-Islam, existed initially a broad tolerance over the lives of the new subjects. This way, the cultural Islamic community took up, incorporated and synthesized in his specific task, the contributions of all kinds of cultures and races. And this also derived in the respect and the material support that the Muslims offered to this humanist culture that they created.

The ichtihad was a source of brilliancy, creativity, enrichment, progress and peace in the way of the personal and collective effort towards Allah (this is the authentic core and the reason of the Islam). When already the Umma had spread and enormously multiplied all over the known world.

Certainly, this really religious, mystical effort, is called the Major Yihad (in Allah’s way). Unlike to the purely military one, which is only a minor Yihad, to follow this way… All this exuberant ideological development constituted the second Transformation of the Islam.

Origin, need and transmission of the Islamic Tradition.

The histories orally transmitted of «the customs and sayings» (the Sunna) of Mohammed, transformed soon in writings. That were, in turn, objects of great summaries. Each story or written comment is called the hadith or hadis. The term also is used to refer to the generality of them. The length of the hadises is very variable, according to the topic of the writing. More interesting and definer for us is his intelligent internal structure. This characterizes them and gives faith of their verisimilitude. In each hadis is usually first exposed the «transmission chain» up to its writing or the checking of her, from his oral origin, with the figure of the «transmitter«. Nowadays, we would call this the historical traceability. They are of first importance as «transmitters» of the hadises, Aixa or A’, isa, the second and preferred wife the Prophet, and Ali, his cousin and son-in-law. Then, there comes the content of the story or the comment, called the «matn«.

The Koran in the chapter 4, verse 59, guarantees and grants a special power of decision and of explanation to the Prophet or Envoy of God and to the sovereigns, successors or Moslem caliphs, who are those who hold the authority in the Umma. This would explain and justify the need of a qualified interpretation, foreseen by Allah, for the practical application of the Koran along the geography and the history of the peoples. With Mohammed acting as interpreter, as exceptional and privileged «intermediary» of Allah.

There exist hundreds of thousands of hadises that have come up to us. And between them numerous contradictions appear. In addition, the total text is excessive for have commented or saying and lived or realized by Mohammed. Even using for it all his life. The Ambushes against military Patrols and Units.

Introduction.

One of the principal tasks of the military men of the International Forces in Support of the Security, deployed in the Southwest of Asia, in the countries menaced by the islamist terrorism, is the motorized patrolling by the dusty ways that interlace the zone of influence of their barracks. These areas almost lacks Tarmac roads. When there exist they are not a great thing. The caps of asphalt have between one and two fingers of thickness; and the heats soften them and pot-holes and bubbles are easily formed. Usually, this is not an aggressive patrol. In some cases the rebels and bandits have dared to attack some of the military marching columns. Fighting from fixed and spread, hasty fortified positions, forming a fringe like a half moon or crescent, which was embracing the march way. Las Emboscadas contra Patrullas y Unidades Militares.

Introducción.

Una de las tareas principales de los militares de las Fuerzas Internacionales de Apoyo a la Seguridad, desplegadas en el Suroeste de Asia, es el patrullaje motorizado por los caminos polvorientos que entrecruzan la zona de influencia de sus acuartelamientos. Estas zonas casi carecen de carreteras asfaltadas. Y cuando las hay, no son gran cosa. Las capas de asfalto tienen un par de dedos de espesor; y los calores las ablandan y se forman fácilmente baches y burbujas. No es aquél un patrullaje agresivo. Es un patrullaje de exhibición, rutina y enlace visual y logístico entre las posiciones militares principales y secundarias y con los núcleos de población cercanos.

Cuando los militares piensan que puede haber problemas, reciben el apoyo de la observación aérea. Son aviones de exploración no tripulados (los UAV, por sus siglas en inglés), cuyo uso se extiende en estos conflictos asimétricos. Algunos pueden detectar (en condiciones ideales) a 5 mil metros si una persona va armada. Los estadounidenses usan el modelo Predator (éste va también armado) y el Searcher (sin capacidad de ataque), pudiendo ambos operar hasta los 350 km de su base.

En algunos casos, los insurrectos y bandidos locales se han atrevido a atacar a alguna de las columnas militares de marcha desde posiciones fijas y espaciadas, formando una franja o luneta como una media luna, que abrazaban el camino de marcha. Su problema es que las armas rebeldes son de tiro tenso y sus posiciones se sitúan en la pendiente anterior. Por tanto, los “vehículos blindados ligeros armados” de la infantería extranjera pueden trabar combate ventajosamente con los guerrilleros en sus pozos de tirador, pequeñas trincheras y pliegues del terreno reforzados. En efecto, sus sistemas de adquisición de blancos y control de fuego les permitían la selección y la precisión de sus fuegos ametralladores contra los blancos puntuales de los rebeldes irregulares. Y les obligan a retroceder y a esconderse en las aldeas más cercanas.

Hay otros muchos más casos en que los insurrectos utilizan sus artificios explosivos artesanales (en inglés, los “improvised explosive devices”) en los caminos recorridos por los militares en patrulla. Los suelen colocar generalmente partiendo desde las aldeas cercanas, como su base improvisada operativa adelantada, y aprovechando la ocultación y el amparo de las noches. Se les tiene mucho miedo a estos artificios, famosos ya desde la posguerra de Irak en 2003. Porque son inesperados, impredecibles y difíciles de detectar (pueden estar en el camino que ayer se recorrió y examinó), enervantes (la perspectiva anímica de la posible, aunque improbable explosión, grava mucho más que la probabilidad real de los daños del ataque) y ponen a los hombres en la defensa pasiva y a la espera. Sabiendo que no se toman medidas activas para evitarlos.

Las cargas huecas explosivas, que forman la mayoría de esos artificios, atacan el bajo vientre de los vehículos militares extranjeros, su parte más vulnerable y menos protegida. Ahí no pueden llevar las cargas reactivas de repulsión o un blindaje múltiple con cerámicas que usan los cascos de los tanques. Se calcula que los insurrectos talibanes, de al-Qaeda y del Estado Islámico en Afganistán, pueden colocar y activar durante un año más de 10 mil de estas minas artesanales. Algunos corresponsales llaman a esos artificios, el arma más efectiva de la insurgencia. Aunque son, en su conjunto operativo, como un inmenso campo de minas, pero que no se colocan simultáneamente, y superextendido, improbable y sin estar cubierto por el fuego enemigo.

Las Tácticas y Técnicas para Eliminar el Peligro de las Emboscadas y Trampas Explosivas en los Caminos.

Hay varias, unas pasivas o reactivas y otras activas, asumiendo la iniciativa y la agresividad contra insurrectos peor preparados y entrenados que los militares. Todas son “defensivas”. Desde que el Ministerio de la Guerra pasó antaño a denominarse de las Fuerzas Armadas y, por último, más modernamente, de la Defensa, todo es “defensa”.

Entre las pasivas pueden estar el incrementar el reconocimiento visual de los caminos, en los suelos de aquéllos, observando protuberancias y cambios de color que no correspondan. Los “tiempos de recorrido” de las columnas disminuirían bastante. Hay que recorrer aquéllos más despacio, mirando al suelo y oteando el horizonte, buscando también observadores al descuido, no muy lejanos. No suelen usar activadores de cables. Estos son caros y pesan, y los rebeldes están en zonas aisladas y la logística es débil y complicada.

Los artefactos se activan generalmente por la presión del vehículo o por un emisor de frecuencia y alcance dados; puede servir hasta un dispositivo de apertura de puertas. Con sus inhibidores de frecuencia, los militares intentan contrarrestar las ondas de radio de las frecuencias probables usadas en la zona. Siendo los emisores más caros y complicados, cuanto más alcance, potencia y gama de frecuencias usen. Es el juego del gato y el ratón. El problema es que los guerrilleros de un área reciban un emisor activador que use una frecuencia imprevista.

También las columnas podrían ser hostilizadas con fuego de mortero registrado durante los altos que hicieran para confirmar o eliminar algún posible artificio, ya que algunos podrían ser simulados.

Otro medio sería trasladarse por fuera de los caminos, campo a través. Para los vehículos a rueda, esto no siempre es posible. Y, además, el desgaste de las piezas y el consumo de combustible aumentan mucho, como también los horarios de marcha. Al mismo tiempo, disminuye la comodidad y aumenta el cansancio de los viajeros en misiones de patrullaje largas y/o rutinarias.

Que no se diga que es imposible o muy difícil. Ya que esto fue lo que hizo el general Valeriano Weyler, para espantar a los “mambises” cubanos de las cercanías de los caminos y veredas tropicales. El 10 de febrero de 1896, el general se hacía cargo del gobierno de Cuba y de la jefatura del ejército español estacionado en ella. El presidente del Consejo de Ministros, Antonio Cánovas del Castillo, restaurador de la monarquía borbónica, propugnaba la política de mantener la dominación colonial en Cuba, hasta “sacrificar el último hombre y la última peseta”. Y nombró a Weyler para los cargos citados, en sustitución del general Arsenio Martínez Campos, el pacificador de la guerra de 1968 a 1978. Que fracasó esta vez en acercar posiciones con los rebeldes en armas.

Los guerrilleros cubanos, en esta nueva guerra, aprovechaban la ocultación de la “manigua” y su cercanía a los caminos, para hostilizar con fuego de fusilería a la columnas y causarles algunas bajas, sin empeñarse en la lucha. Weyler pronto diseñó la técnica de rechazo del enemigo. Una exploración con capacidad de combate se adelantaba convenientemente a las columnas españolas en marcha. Se trasladaba por las maniguas (matorrales autóctonos) que circundaban a las vías de marcha, sin alejarse excesivamente del camino. Los mambises o rebeldes, formando fuerzas de hostigamiento variables y escasas, eran así levantados de sus posiciones y ahuyentados de las fuerzas principales españolas.

Particularidades de las zonas montañosas y sus habitantes.

Las áreas montañosas de la región geopolítica del Suroeste de Asia son especialmente peligrosas para las unidades extranjeras en maniobra de cualquier tamaño. Las estribaciones de las alturas están cruzadas frecuentemente por wadis o cauces estacionalmente secos de arroyuelos y veneros. En ellos puede ocultarse un grupo de hombres. Que no se harán visibles hasta que surja su oportunidad de hostigamiento por el fuego, desde posiciones rápidamente reforzadas y camufladas, de las unidades militares. O tengan una escaramuza de encuentro con algún grupo que se asome a la hondonada sin precauciones.

También es fácil acercarse a algún afloramiento rocoso, adornado o no por un pequeño matorral espinoso, sin detectar tras él algunos enemigos agazapados y pacientes. Que atacarán al descuido a los soldados, usando sus cuchillos o alfanjes. Incluso, cuando los hombres regresan al camino principal, tras establecer y mantener una posición de defensa para proteger la marcha de su columna principal, dándoles la espalda.

Las tribus que las habitan tienen como características en su identidad y costumbres, la belicosidad y las reyertas intertribales. Las más importantes y extendidas son la etnia pashtún y los baluchis.

La sorpresa, que es un multiplicador eficaz de la “capacidad de combate” específica de una unidad dada, es empleada continua y sistemáticamente por los combatientes irregulares. Así, ocurre que, “por este valle amplio, ocre y árido, nunca nos han atacado”, porque las montañas que lo enmarcan están a 300 o 400 m. en el horizonte. Bueno, pues hoy te van a atacar con ráfagas cortas (2 a 6 disparos) de ametralladora con bípode, cuando avances confiado y desparramado por aquel valle anodino y conocido. Sin molestarte por establecer la seguridad de marcha con piquetes, que protejan a la columna principal. Y ofreciéndole múltiples pequeños blancos al enemigo tenaz, curtido y venenoso.

Tácticas militares en la lucha contrainsurgencia.

Por fin, existen tácticas y técnicas específicas para la lucha contra rebeldes irregulares, que pueden ser empleadas aquí. Ellas buscan mantener la iniciativa, la creatividad y la ley de la acción de nuestra parte. Se trata del empleo independiente de pequeñas unidades de infantería ligera (en principio, tipo pelotón o escuadra) en tareas de exploración y de ataque a las bandas enemigas. Para la defensa de las comunicaciones propias, pueden emplearse agresivamente contra las bandas que las hostigan o que las obstaculizan (los artificios son como minas más dispersas y selectivas).

Por ejemplo, se pueden internar y ocultar en un sector donde las bandas islamistas o de bandidos locales estén activas. En la noche, cuando aquéllas suelen colocar en los caminos sus artificios explosivos, las atacarán desconsideradamente (con la máxima sorpresa y para el mayor efecto). Esto exige de todos los hombres de las patrullas: formación, motivación, compromiso con la misión, entrenamiento específico, iniciativa, creatividad, autosuficiencia, sobriedad, paciencia, serenidad, alerta de los sentidos, silencio y quietud.

Una ventaja que multiplicará la capacidad de combate de la patrulla militar, reside en que estas bandas descuidan su seguridad en lo que creen que es su retaguardia. Una vez que se ha producido un combate con los insurrectos, la patrulla debe ser extraída o volver a sus cuarteles. Para descansar, informar, volver a entrenarse, ser equipada y trasladarse a otro sector, cuando proceda, en otra misión.

Epílogo.

Toda emboscada que resulta efectiva implica un fallo, una deficiencia, un descuido en la seguridad del atacado. La rutina de las acciones; la molicie de los hombres; la suficiencia y el engreimiento de los mandos directos y superiores; la escasa formación de los soldados; la insuficiente motivación de todos los militares y su falta de compromiso con las tareas o misiones. Ellos constituyen graves defectos de partida para la creación y el mantenimiento de una seguridad de marcha eficaz. En las patrullas de reconocimiento y de combate y en los movimientos de las unidades y pequeñas unidades.

Y, aunque la seguridad no figure frecuentemente en las “listas” de los principios de la guerra, especialmente en las más cortas, la seguridad ha llegado para quedarse. Y el incumplimiento de este principio afectará en mayor o menor grado y extensión a la eficacia de los demás “principios compañeros o socios”. Ya que el conjunto de los principios forma un grupo holístico, sinérgico, concurrente y convergente sobre las acciones militares. Definiendo todos simultáneamente el “qué hacer” en la guerra o en el conflicto armado.

Since the emergence of 4 principal ideologic Sunnis schools, the principle of the personal reflection effort, the ichtihad, got power in the Islam. The ichtihad is going to allow the development of the Arabic culture, so much for the civil aspects (sciences, trade, literature, art), as for the enrichment of its ideology. It is the base of Islamic lawyers as al-Shafii. The ichtihad is a source of brilliancy, creativity, enrichment, progress and peace in the way of the personal and collective effort towards God (this is the nucleus and the reason of the Islam), when already the Umma has spread and multiplied enormously through the world.

It is not the case that the intellectual laymen Moslem react. These are not operative in the way that we know in the West, since for a good Muslim the politics, the society and the religion form the only, exclusive and inseparable Trinity established by Allah. Besides, the social and political failure of the intellectual laymen Arabs remains tied with that of the nationalistic, leftist and Europeanized elite, that stimulated the independence of the different Arabic nations after the World War II. And that created lay, «socialist» regimes rested on the clientism and the internal repression and separated by his ideology and interests from his respective Moslem societies.

Some actions by the spiritual chiefs of the Islam are attainable and they would be estimated by all. The ulemas might declare that the interests of the Islam and of the Umma have Spain and the rest of Europa as good friends, as part of Dar el-Ahd. That are the countries where the Umma does not dominate politically, but that is in peace with his inhabitants and can realize his actions and rites. The ulemas might use the institution of the takfir against the most recalcitrant, dangerous and criminal terrorists. Three were the reasons that stimulated the Arabic tribes to starting a way of conquest of the wide and distant peoples and lands, strangers to the Arabic Peninsula. The Arabic original tribes of the Islam were receiving a part of the taxes and of the plunders of the conquest, though they were not taking part in any military expeditions. Another part was given to the participants in the Jihad against some bordering people or region with the caliphate. That was mundanely welding and assuring the religious aspirations of the believers of the new faith.

Strategic contradictions of the jihadists in the irregular war.

The principal characteristics of the irregular war are his prolongation in time, consequence of his low military intensity, and that is civil and political. What imply a great social tear and inevitable acts of great cruelty. By the «ascent to the extremes» of the war, which Clausewitz was saying, without the safeguards of the laws and accepted customs, that get lost in this «born within itself chaos».

To reach the power or his strategic aims, the guerrilla has three aims in his total strategy: the military annihilation of the enemy, who can be simply appearing his disability to solve the problem of the bands in an acceptable time for the popular enemy rear; the destruction of the military and economic infrastructure that supports it and the capture of the people or of his religious, ethnic and/or social base to his ideas. In this dialectics of wills, ideologies and efforts the strategic aspects of the irregular bands of any ideology are three: the guerrilla bases, his forces correlation with the regular enemy and the communications in general.

The deficiencies and miseries of the jihadists, in relation with the strategy and the operative strategy are:

1) The jihadists have failed in actively and firmly joining to a social large group, which gives cover and permanent impulse to their «imperialistic social religious movement». The most mentally ill activists are slowly isolating themselves (at least, emotional and ideologically) of the society in which «they live». And they do it in altars of his violent methods, to which they sacrifice everything for obtaining the efficiency in the action. They continue to be prepared a process of segregation, purification (in his unexpected not orthodox rites fast, use water from sacred places and green, yellow or black banderoles with inscriptions of the aleyas that favor them), consecration and radicalization. This «catechizing of the violence» allows them to mentally come to the glorious and in peace death, and, even to the suicide, in the accomplishment of his punctual actions.

 2) The jihadists groups act with an unnecessary and indiscriminate brutality, which discredits them before his religion and unquestionably separates them of the pure Muslims and, still, of the normal ones. Let’s see some aleyas or verses from the Koran:

Sura (chapter), 4 aleya 33 «… Oh, believers … do not kill yourself (do not kill between you, is another description) …».

2, 10 » When it is said to them: do not commit disorders (voice that defined the crimes) in the Earth, they answer: Far from it, we introduce in it the good order (the Good)».

2, 11 «Alas!, they commit disorders, but they do not understand it».

28, 77 «As Allah makes the Good, also make you the good and do not foment the corruption (the Evil)» (murder of innocent and of peoples that receive you -the lands of dar-el-Ahd-, drunkenness, drugs, unnecessary damages of the things).

They despise and not comply with these moral aleyas, without Allah had changed them for they. Sura 2, aleya 100 «We do not abrogate any verse of this Book, nor we will make erase any one of your memory, without replacing it by other one equal or better».

In France more than 4,5 million Muslims are settled, specially of Algerian, Moroccan and Tunisian origin. The European metropolis practised an «asymmetric multiculturalism», to first accept in his society and to next integrate, their emigrants. But, they cannot direct and regulate the social movements with the compass and the set square. The social emigrant groups were established in the periphery of the cities of reception. Definitively, to form them in the affability, the social communication and the resilience, to be able to overcome the successive vicissitudes of the life.

And a great majority lacked solid, profitable and identity beliefs and virtues. That significantly were helping them, from his mixed origin, to create his necessary, personal, satisfactory and respected identity.

It might think that the insufficiency of this «social contribution» in the formation of the individual identity, does not justify the appearance of a asocial or sickly conduct in them. But we do not try to say it. We are exposing different facets of the phenomenon, bringing over the pieces to compose this psychological puzzle, trying to form a matrix with the different factors that meet. To express a «multicolored panorama», which allows us to gather in it the parameters of the situation. The failure of the social humus, of the original substratum of the individual will amplify his lacks and failures. And it will not contribute base and wealth for the creation of his resilience (development and overcoming of the adversities, going out experienced and strengthened) and of his reference parameters for his personal and social balance.

The disperse and partitioned French agencies of intelligence, in spite of the only antiterrorist command, calculate that in the country are around 8250 potentials mujahidins. That principally settle in the zone of Paris, the Provence, the Alps and the Côte d’Azur (centred on Marseilles and Nice). The conversion in suicidal or not «attacker», demonstrates and confirms when the individual looks for his separation of the «unfaithful persons» and his ideology is focused in the radical branches of the Islam and in the Yihad. Let’s remember the famous cases of «brain washing» against religious and politicians dissident, that needs some time. The Degradation of the Violence in the Societies.

The vulgarization of the violence against the others is a recurrent phenomenon in the different civilizations and epochs. Not in vain the Roman adage says that «the man is a wolf for the man». Leaving apart the cases of social excluded and chased persons, the developed modern societies are disturbed by a widespread neurosis. That becomes established and produces in the personal neurosises. This affection does not turn us violent directly. But it makes us unstable and more inclined to yield before the external and internal tensions. The neurosis attacks ours resilience: for survive and keeping going.

And a way of escape before these «psychological traps» that we suffer, is the violence exercised against that we think culprits of our perceived “evils». That sometimes is the whole vicinity. And the range of possible forcing acts has an extensive gradation. But, these «chests of distress» suffered, are solved overcoming them, not keeping a malignant cycle of action and reaction.

The depraved and sinister character of the islamist terrorism.

This phenomenon has some specific results of death, desolation and helplessness. Totally different, in extent and power, with that an assassin in serie can produce. And that spread, from the terrorist «area of action», forming concentric commotion waves, over the whole attacked society. It is not a question only of the killer deliriums of some misdirected illuminated. It is not a thing of the failures of the multicultural society in joining a nation of races, which are united by the national virtues of the democracy and the freedom. In addition, a general action can be divided into numerous partial actions to achieve in stages, momentary or minor «periods of action»; acting this way in the same «field», divided in minor interfaces of action.

Interaction in stages and situations suitable to advance one’s military means guided by the superior intention or orders is the general mechanism for applying, recovering and maintaining freedom of action in one’s favor.

A characteristic of the freedom of action is that is interactive with the enemy in the «interface of action» and is played out in fields of action that chosen by or imposed on an army. Passiveness means that freedom of action is not taken advantage of through lack of initiative. Thus, freedom of action can also have a result opposite to its intention and this can happen regardless of the type of fight engaged in, whether it is offensive or defensive.

The units had to gain combat superiority over the enemy, since obtaining a local and temporary supremacy would allow them to achieve their aims.

Essential to the mission’s conception are intelligence and simplicity. Essential to its preparation are security and training. The characteristics of the mission in action are surprise, tempo and the commitment of all the mission participants.

Simplicity allows the force to concentrate on a few related aims, using a limited number of men and means in the military closed system. If new tactics or different technologies are used, both the simplicity of the mission’s conception and the surprise of its execution will be enhanced.

On September 12, 1943, the captain of the S. S. Otto Skorzeny carried out the rescue of the Duce from his prison in the high mountain hotel Great Sasso located in the Apennines. Gliders were used to assault the position, fighting against the difficult cold draughts (these produced a delay in the arrival, as they landed at midday) and scarce sites for landing. The commitment of men and officers and their selection qualities, lend moral and physical courage to the actions they undertake. This is necessary to overcome uncertainty, stress, mistakes, diversions, enemy actions, and to take advantage of the always fleeting opportunities. Commitment supposes full knowledge of the mission and the full, voluntary and enthusiastic support of all participants.

Execution is carried out by establishing at the level of the regiment, battalion or company a center of gravity for the common effort, which harmonizes and consolidates the «missions» of its subunits.

THE PERSECUTIONS TO THE MODERN CHRISTIANS.

The «Enemies» of the Christian Churches. Ideological, political and moral Reasons for their «Permanent Pursuit».

The most certain and zealous enemies, along the History, of the ideas and the religions have always been the political or politician religious closed and despotic systems, the Messianic totalitarianims and the absolutist and exclusive States. These cultural and social values are evolving with the contingencies, the displacements and the fortunes of the human societies.

Inside our extensive Western Culture, which reaches to all the continents of the West and, in minor measure, to Asia, the identity virtues are provided by the different Christian churches and by Cicero’s speeches and Plato’s Dialogs. One of these essential virtues is the respect and the worship to the divinity. As recognition and worship to the Necessary Being who creates us, supports us and, in some cases, helps us. This makes concrete, according to the education, the culture and the social environment.

The armed Pursuit to the Christians in the Arabic Countries.

There are given in the last months diverse cases of violent pursuit to the Christians, in countries where the Moslem religion predominates. They are the lands of “dar-al-Islam”, where the Umma or Moslem universal community politically dominates. But some not Muslims who live in dar-al-Islam have a «protection agreement» with her. Son armas tecnológicamente avanzadas, que comenzaron a desarrollarse hace varias décadas, destinadas a eliminar a un mínimo escogido de “enemigos designados”, tanto reales como “ideológicos o potenciales”. Y a minimizar las bajas propias. Lo cual hace irrelevante su coste económico para sus ricos poseedores. Tienen un elevadísimo alcance eficaz y son de la categoría de “inteligentes”, aunque aún no se les autoriza a decidir el momento de lanzar sus misiles, una vez adquirido el objetivo. Su uso operativo estratégico podría denominarse la “Guerra de los Drones”.

Las tareas específicas que distinguían a la CIA y al Pentágono, se fueron entremezclando durante la primera década del siglo XXI. Esto se deb al fracaso operativo y estratégico de los EEUU en las largas guerras asimétricas de IV generación (léase de guerrillas y, añádase o no, según sean los hostiles, de liberación nacional) en Iraq y Afganistán. Actuaciones que sostuvieron tras sus brevísimos “conflictos armados” después del 11/09/2001 contra las ejércitos de masas (de segunda generación) de sus regímenes tiránicos y retrógrado (Afganistán). Y utilizando en ellos sus fuerzas entrenadas y muy equipadas tecnológicamente (de III generación). Cerrado en falso el frente iraquí e iniciada la retirada en Afganistán, la Casa Blanca está dotando a la CIA de más medios militares para dar caza a los terroristas salafistas. Para ello ha aumentado su flota de drones o Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (aviones sin tripulación). Y está considerando autorizar un incremento de la red de espías de que dispone el Pentágono, para ejercer un mayor control sobre los refugios de alQaida en la península Arábiga y el este y el norte de África.

Estos cambios en los objetivos estratégicos y operativos de la CIA y el Pentágono y la dotación de medios adecuada, culminaron durante el primer mandato de Barack Obama. La CIA ha tomado parte más activa en la erradicación del yihadismo internacional, y ha expandido notablemente su programa de ataques con misiles lanzados por drones. En el verano de 2011, Obama nombró al exdirector de la CIA Leon Panetta, jefe del Pentágono. Y el comandante de las misiones en Irak y Afganistán y jefe del Comando Central militar, David Petraeus, fue nombrado director de la CIA. Petraeus, antes de dimitir el 9/11/2012, por aquello de la erótica (su biógrafa) del Poder, le pidió a Obama un refuerzo de la flota de Unmanned Aerial Vehicles de la Agencia. Para poder efectuar ataques más allá de los objetivos habituales en Somalia, Yemen y Pakistán. La Agencia y el Pentágono tienen sus miras puestas en Malí y Libia, dado el incremento de la actividad en la zona de la franquiciaal-Qaida en el Magreb Islámico”, el grupo Ansar Dine y los paniaguados de la República Islámica de Anzawad, asentados al norte de Tombuctú. Los tuaregs han cambiado a su patrono Gadafi por los terroristas salafistas, a los que Gadafi acusaba de ser su oposición armada. La CIA y Mando Conjunto de Operaciones Especiales del Pentágono cooperan en muchos de esos ataques. El objetivo de los ataques son supuestos dirigentes y hasta simples militantes de alQaida y de grupos yihadistas asociados. Y la táctica es exterminarlos antes de que actúen. Esto es un paso más en los fundamentos de la doctrina militar de los EEUU. Condicionados desde hace décadas por el parámetro contradictorio de “no sufrir bajas en ninguna guerra o conflicto”. Aunque los miles de muertos anuales por el uso indebido de las armas de todo tipo en el país, parece que son para ello sus “daños colaterales” por garantizar su “libertad”.

La “guerra de los drones” de Obama tiene mucho de carácter “preventivo”—antes de que se haya cometido delito—y las ejecuciones son sumarias, sin fallo judicial. Y supone, por ello, atribuirse el derecho a realizar ejecuciones extrajudiciales en cualquier parte del mundo. Así, a la mano derecha de Obama en este tema, John Brennan, un veterano de la CIA con 25 años de servicio en esa Agencia gubernamental, le llaman el “Zar de los Asesinos”. Ahora, a primeros de 2013 se le nombra director de la CIA, en sustitución del malhadado Petraeus. En el anterior intento de Obama para que fuese aceptado por el Senado estadounidense, Brennan fue rechazado de plano. La razón capital oficial fue su justificación de la tortura para obtener información relevante y/o urgente de los detenidos calificados de “terroristas”. Ahora, lavada en parte su imagen ante los grupos progresistas por su oposición radical a la “prisión preventiva indefinida” en Guantánamo, “ni un preso más en Guantánamo”, ha declarado repetidamente, se le acepta para el importante cargo. Pero en la tumultuosa sesión del Senado del jueves 7 de febrero para confirmar su nombramiento, Brennan volvió a legitimar el uso de los drones para matar a miembros de al-Qaida y a estadounidenses expatriados “in fraganti” de atentar de inmediato contra los EEUU. Y confirmó que no era necesario ampliar la legislación actual, porque “estos ataques se realizan en completo cumplimiento de nuestras leyes”. Realmente, esto es discutible tanto legal como emocionalmente. En el subconsciente de la generalidad de los estadounidenses están enraizadas las ideas del “fair play” y de dar una igualdad de oportunidades al rival armado. Aunque esto sea en la práctica más un ramalazo romántico, para acallar las conciencias, que una realidad táctica. De hecho, como son unos enamorados de la tecnología, procuran aniquilar al enemigo con su fuego pesado aéreo y artillero, antes llegar a verle el ”blanco de sus ojos”. Y, por todo ello, éste es un tema que será recurrente en los foros políticos y militares estadounidenses en los próximos meses.

El programa “Muerte del Cielo” (Death from Above) se legitima solamente “por la persona del presidente”. Las ejecuciones son legales, porque el presidente así lo decide y ordena. Obama ha obtenido con los drones un arma para presentarse “duro y eficaz” en la lucha contra alQaida, sin resultar impopular con los votantes. A éstos los juguetitos mortíferos tecnológicos, singularmente los que vuelan, por aquello de los “héroes americanos individuales”, les gustan mucho. Pero, según Christopher Griffin, en un reportaje publicado por “Rolling Stone”, “la guerra secreta de Obama supone la mayor ofensiva aérea no tripulada por seres humanos, jamás realizada en la historia militar”. Y parafraseando a Churchill, añade nunca tan pocos habían matado a tantos, por control remoto”.

La Administración no admite explícitamente la existencia del programa de drones, por motivos de seguridad. Aunque la Casa Blanca declara en sus filtraciones calculadas, que las víctimas no buscadas son casi inexistentes. No todos los analistas aceptan esa precisión quirúrgica sin datos fehacientes, atribuida a estos ataques desde allende el horizonte. Un problema importante es que los drones aterrorizan a áreas enteras, con algunos de ellos planeando mucho tiempo sobre los poblados. Por otro lado, como es el caso de Pakistán, la “información básica” para la creación de inteligencia para la misión, la facilita la gente local pagada. Y que ofrece también información falsa. Más importante y discutida es la cuestión de las eufemísticamente llamadas “bajas colaterales”, como si tuviesen menos importancia al ser causadas por las imprecisiones y los errores operativos. Algunos ataques con drones han causado decenas de muertes de civiles, incluidos mujeres y niños, como el que abatió en Yemen en diciembre de 2009 a Saleh Mohammed al-Anbouri. Y sólo en Pakistán, según The Guardian, los drones habrían matado a unas 3000 personas, de las cuales un tercio eran claramente civiles, entre 2008 y 2011.

Los ataques contra los objetivos humanos se realizan con misiles lanzados desde drones. Desde 2002, EE UU ha realizado casi 450 misiones de este tipo en Pakistán, Somalia y el Yemen. El presidente Obama autoriza los ataques en Somalia y el Yemen, pero se le consulta sólo alrededor de un tercio de las misiones en Pakistán, donde los “operativos” deciden en base a órdenes generales recibidas. El Pentágono emplea también los drones en sus operaciones de exploración y de ataque en Afganistán. La CIA tiene su papel principal en Pakistán. Donde existe internamente una ambigüedad calculada de las FFAA, los servicios de inteligencia (el ISI es el más importante, con mucho) y el Gobierno en las relaciones y preferencias hacia: su aliado, los EEUU, los talibanes afganos y los talibanes paquistaníes y las tribus pashtunes de las zonas fronterizas, junto a la línea Durand, y los baluchis del sur (el Baluchistán). Un objetivo estratégico nacional para Pakistán es mantener una influencia importante, preferiblemente decisiva, en los asuntos internos afganos. Y un objetivo estratégico militar al este del país es tener vigilados, controlados y neutralizados a sus talibanes y otros grupos hostiles menores, al este del meridiano de Peshawar, y sin que actúen al este del Indo..
